Inspired by Egyptian Shabtis, these figures were buried with the diseased to help in the afterlife. My figures, women of the 1960's, stand ready to serve. In 2019, are women still in a culture expected to be the ones waiting to serve? When will we begin to realize we need to serve ourselves as well?
